Obituary

Worcester – Normand E. Goyette, 93, of Worcester formerly of Leicester died on Thursday, January 28th in the Parsons Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.

His wife Margaret D. (Noble) Goyette died in 2000. He is survived by two sons Normand Goyette of Florida formerly of Worcester and Clifford Goyette of Leicester; a daughter Janice Locke of Leicester; a brother Raymond Goyette of Worcester; two sisters Florence Wood of Worcester and Lorraine Summer of Oxford; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Normand was born in Worcester son of the late Arthur and Mathilda (Laforte) Goyette and served in the United States Navy where he received a Purple Heart for his service during World War II.

Mr. Goyette was a truck driver for many years working for various trucking companies. He was a member of Teamsters Local 170 and the VFW Rochdale Post #7556.

Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, February 2nd in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. from 1 to 3 PM. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to either the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Central New England Chapter 101A First Avenue, Suite 6 Waltham, MA 02451 or to the American Heart Association 20 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
