Kevin J. Clinton, 47 of Walpole died January 27 in the Hunt Nursing Home in Danvers after a brief fight with melanoma cancer.
Born in Boston, February 1, 1962 the son of the late Edward and Janet (Farrell) Clinton, Mr. Clinton was a lifelong Walpole resident.
Mr. Clinton was a graduate of Walpole High School, class of 1980, where he was on the tennis team. He had also attended the University of Vermont.
Mr. Clinton had worked for the Lawntech Company in Norwood at the time of his death.
He had previously worked at the Wellesley Country Club.
Mr. Clinton loved the outdoors; he had won trophies at fishing tournaments at Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire.
He loved to go snowshoeing, cross country skiing, hiking, camping, and tennis and was an avid Boston sports fan.
A few years ago he took a memorable trip to New Zealand with his sister Jeanne.
He is survived by his sister Jeanne Clinton of Berkeley, California, his brother Paul Clinton and his wife Nancy of Boxford and his brother Brian Clinton of South Attleboro.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Brandon, Brittney, Brett and Melanie.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 1 in St. Mary’s Church in East Walpole at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Terrace Hill Cemetery in South Walpole.
Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main Street in Walpole.
