William K. Lakin, 70, died after a courageous battle with cancer Tues., Jan. 26th at his home in Salem, NH.
Bill was born in Boston, MA, the son of the late Marcella (Karlin) and Robert Lakin. He spent his childhood years in Southbridge, MA, later moving to Brookline. He graduated from Brookline High School in 1957 and he received a BSA degree in Accounting and Finance from Bentley College in 1968. He worked for many years as an accountant, most recently with the firm of Frederick A. Ciampa, CPA, PC in Billerica, MA. Bill had numerous private clients during the tax season.
A resident of Salem for over 30 years, Bill enjoyed spending time on the golf course and he was a long time member at Crystal Springs in Haverhill, MA. He was especially proud of the hole-in-one he made in 1996. Bill was a Master Mason with the Consolidated Lodge in Woburn, MA, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Shriners. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

7 Grandchildren: Stefanie Lakin, Mackenna Fili, Nicholas Fili, Matthew Lakin, Alison Lakin, Rebecca Davis and Maxwell Davis

Memorial Visitation is Fri Jan. 29th from 4-7 PM followed by a Masonic Service at 7PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.
