Daniel Collins, 54, of Windham, NH, died Sunday, January 24, 2010 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. The son of Rose (Aiello) and Daniel J. Collins, Danny was born in Lawrence, MA on August 31, 1955. He was a graduate of Tenney High School in Methuen, MA. Danny was self employed for many years as a master mason. He was a kind loving person who helped everyone, and loved his family very deeply. He held a black belt in karate, and loved fishing, camping and four wheeling in his Jeep with his beloved dog ACE.
He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Kryzynski and husband Keith of Methuen, MA; his mother Rose Aiello of Hampstead, NH; his father Daniel J. Collins of Haverhill, MA; two brothers David Collins and wife Kathleen of Greenfield, NH, and John Collins and wife Tammy of Milton, NH; his sister Donna Sapienza and husband Charles of Windham; his grandchildren Nicholas, Zachary and Alexander; as well as his nieces Cassandra and Seana Collins.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Tuesday, February 2nd from 4 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. A memorial service was held at 7:00 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Daniel Collins Fund, C/O TD Bank.
