Obituary

Mary E. (Murphy) Dinsmore, 60 years old, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died early Sunday morning at her home following a long illness.
Born in Lowell on September 15, 1949, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Mildred F. (Rogers) Murphy and received her education in the Lowell schools. Mrs. Dinsmore also attended Northern Essex Community College and Plymouth State College taking classes in Psychology.
Mrs. Dinsmore worked for a short time for the Raytheon Corporation in Bedford as a Tape Librarian. She also spent much time speaking at many local colleges on mental health. Mrs. Dinsmore was a big fan of bowling and enjoyed playing bingo. She also volunteered her time at the bingos at St. Marie’s Church, St. Michael’s Church and St. Theresa’s Church and volunteered for many years at the Brunswick Bowling Lanes with many youth groups.
She is survived by her husband of thirty nine years Vincent Dinsmore of Lowell; a daughter, Kristin Jordan and her husband Mark Jr. of Lowell; two sons, Michael V. Dinsmore and his wife Elizabeth of Lowell and Mark V. Dinsmore and his wife Mandi of Westford; five grandchildren, Madisyn, Hailey, Isabella Rose, Hope and Brady Dinsmore; two brothers, Robert J. Murphy of Methuen and David M. Murphy and his wife Laurie of Lowell; four sisters, Barbara A. Murphy, Maureen Swensley, Joan Ilg and her companion Robert MacDonald and Ann F. Murphy all of Lowell and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dinsmore was also the sister of the late John F. Murphy Jr. and James Murphy.
DINSMORE-Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, January 27 from 4 until 8 pm at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH ST. LOWELL (Rte.38). Her Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday January 28, at 11 am at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH (Lower Church). Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Haitian Relief Fund at www.clintonbushhaitifund.org. Arrangements are through the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, LOWELL.
