Obituary

Robert P. Russell, 78, of 4 Crestwood Avenue died Sunday, Jan. 24 Golden Living the Hermitage after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 52 years, Marjorie A. (Gould) Russell, two daughters Taryn SanMartino of Worcester, Susanne Russell-Durant and her husband John of Spencer, a granddaughter Savannah Russell of Spencer, a sister Priscilla Smith of Denver, Col., two special nieces Karen Coakley of Spencer and Beth Ann Duxbury of Paxton, several nephews and nieces. He was pre-deceased by a brother and two sisters.

Mr. Russell was born in Worcester, son of Harold G. and Nettie M. (Pope) Russell. He was a master licensed pipe fitter at Comfort Air Systems in Framingham before retiring in 1992. After retiring, he worked at Fisher Auto Parts in Spencer for several years. He graduated from North High School in Worcester. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Spencer and their men’s bowling league. He served in the Army National Guard during the Korean War. His greatest pride and joy was his family and the home he built for them.

At the families request funeral services and burial are private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First Congregational Church of Spencer Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 187, Spencer, MA 01562. J.
