Kevin K. Mountford, 50, of Greenville, died Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Greenville Skilled Nursing Center. He was the husband of Darlene (Williams) Mountford.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Marjorie E. (O’Donnell) Mountford of Greenville and the late Donald Mountford. He was a lifelong resident of Smithfield.
Kevin was a welder for Electric Boat in North Kingstown for 25 years before retiring due to illness. He was a member of Central Cycle Club in Connecticut. He was a season ticket holder for the Providence Bruins. He enjoyed sports, especially hockey, golf and dirt biking. He was a fan of the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins and the Celtics.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his children, Zach K. and Kelly A. Mountford, both of Smithfield; his step daughter, Deanne Duhaime, of Greenville; his sisters, Sheila D. Turner of Glocester, Donna C. Comfort, of Greenville, Jill A. Masso, of Scituate, his brothers; Donald W. Mountford of Vermont and Chet I. Mountford of Providence. He was the brother of the late Sandra Langford and Michael Mountford.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 10am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm.
