Marie T. (O'Brien) Gilmore of West Roxbury, passed away on January 23, 2010. She was 82 years old.
Born and raised in Boston, Marie was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School. She worked as a supervisor for Marshall's for over 30 years before retiring at age 67. Marie was a parishioner of St. Theresa of Avila in West Roxbury for more than 50 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, widely known for her kindness and serenity. Marie accepted everyone as they were and always brought a smile to everyone's face.
Marie was the loving mother of Albert C. Gilmore III of West Roxbury and Darlene Portanova of Dedham. Cherished grandmother, "Nannie," of Lauri, Glen and Justin Portanova, and great-grandmother of and Ashleigh Bates.
Marie's Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at St. Theresa of Avila Church.
