Mrs. Nancy Marinelli, 85 of Plymouth, formerly of Medford died on Friday at the home of her son in Plymouth. She was the wife of the late Joseph X. Marinelli. Mrs. Marinelli was born in East Boston, the daughter of the late Angelo and Pauline (DeMarco) D'Italia. In earlier years, she worked as a manager for the Fannie Farmer Candy Company. She loved to cook, travel read and do crosswords. She had worked part time at the Parker House in Boston as a cashier for numerous functions. She worked there until 2000. A Medford resident since 1948, she had also lived in Florida for the past seven years. She was a very family minded woman and she loved spending time with her sons and their families, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was very close to her niece Joanne Soriano of Revere.
She is survived by 3 sons, Michael A. Marinelli and his wife Kathleen of Plymouth, Robert L. Marinelli and his wife Susan of FL., Joseph P. "Jay" Marinelli and his wife Debra of NH. Beloved grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by a sister Anna Soriano, 2 brothers, Salvatore and Robert D’Italia and is the sister of Richard D’Italia of Woburn.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, Wednesday at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
