Paul G. MacDonald, 54, of Mansfield formerly of North Easton and Hanover passed away on Friday January 22, 2010 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare in Norton after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl A. (Goyea) MacDonald to whom he was married for 25 years.
Born in Charlottetown, PEI, Canada on November 15, 1955 he was a loving son of George and Ena (MacKay) MacDonald of Hanover
Paul grew up in and was educated on the South Shore. He had lived in Mansfield for the past 13 years and had formerly resided for 12 years in North Easton and previously in Hanover.
For the past few years he was employed by Doctor McBrine & Doctor Vaconcellos in Mansfield and had previously worked at Brooks/Rite Aid in Mansfield for several years.
Paul was an avid outdoor photographer and had a passion for listening to an eclectic selection of music. He cherished and adored his dogs Willy, Toby and Sammy and his cat Mitzy.
In addition to his beloved wife and loving parents he is survived by his dear sister Elizabeth Mahoney and her husband Michael of Marlboro. He was the cherished son in law of Esther Goyea of Mansfield and the late Robert Goyea, Sr. He was the brother in law Robert Goyea , Jr. of Mansfield and was the uncle of Danielle Minihane and her husband Nathan of Stoughton, Geoffrey Goyea of Inverness, Florida and the late Caitlin Mahoney.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of his family at a later date.
