Joseph G. Sullivan, 88, passed away Friday, January 22, 2010, in the Odd Fellows Home. His wife of 51 years, A. Evelyn (Hodgkins) Sullivan passed away in 1998.
He was born in Worcester, son of Frank and Edith (Dahlquist) Sullivan. He was a graduate of North High School. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII and the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Joe worked for Norton Company in the Machine and Tool Division.
He leaves two sons, Philip Sullivan and David Sullivan and his wife, Cynthia; two daughters, Linda and her husband, Frans Soderlund and Gerrilyn Mendala; and a brother, Raymond F. Sullivan and his wife, Martha of Worcester. He also leaves four grandchildren, Wendy Snow, Bryan Salvadore, Heather Mendala, and Kristofer Mendala; and one great- grandson, Jeffrey Snow.
A private family graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Foundation at www.michaeljfox.org.
