CARMICLE, James, 86, passed away Wednesday (01/20/2010) at the Golden Living Center, Louisville, KY.
He was born in Liberty, KY to Richard N. & Annaliza (Black) Carmicle.
He was a retired machine operator at Henry Vogt Co for 45 years and was a WW II Army Veteran. He was a baptist by faith and a Mason.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and his wife of 29 years: Verna Marlowe (Hornback) Carmichael; a Son: Henry Norman Carmichael; 1 Brother and 5 Sisters.
Survivors include his children: Sherman Lee Carmichael (Pam); Shirley Carmichael; and James Ray Carmichael.
10 Grandchildren: Daniel, Chad, John & James Carmichael, Allison Carney, Alanna Beauchamp, Craig Phillips, Sarah Naugle, Tracey Riley, Melisa Clute and 11 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 - 9 PM Friday (01/22/2010) at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, and after 12 Noon Saturday at the Church.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday EST (01/23/2010) at the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Upton, KY., with burial in the Church Cemetery.
