WORCESTER-Paul F. LaForce, 68, of Worcester, passed from this life while holding his wife’s hand on Monday, January 18th in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 13 years, Kathleen M. (Johnson) Wilk; three sons, Steven P. LaForce of Leesburg, VA, and Micheal J. LaForce and Paul F. LaForce, Jr. both of Spencer; his daughter, Renee J. O’Connell and her husband Thomas of Holland; his brother, David LaForce of Oxford; his sister Lois Best of Brookfield; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. His daughter, Christina M. LaVoie and his sister, Judith Goodrich, predeceased him.
Mr. LaForce was born in Worcester, the son of Alphonse and Gertrude (Prunier) LaForce. He was a graduate of the former High School of Commerce. Mr. LaForce worked as a machinist for over 20 years at the Norton Company. He was a member of Christ the King Church and its choir. Mr. LaForce served on the board of directors for his condominium in Wells, ME, where he had many happy days at the beach with friends. He enjoyed carpentry and was an avid bowler.
Paul loved to travel and his passports were well-stamped. He was a modest man who was always there for anyone who needed him. The family wishes to thank Dr. Susan Donahue and the nurses at Worcester Oncology. A special thanks to family member Dr. Bill O’Connor, whose constant support and presence were a great comfort.
The funeral is Saturday, January 23rd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, January 22nd from 5:30 until 7:30 PM in the funeral home.
