Claud “Mickey” Cantrell, 79, passed away peacefully at his home on January 18, 2010 surrounded by his family.
He was the husband of the late Gladys (Tirrell) Cantrell and is survived by three children, Jeanne Cantrell of Yardley, PA, Mark Cantrell of Westerly, RI, and David Cantrell of Ledyard; two grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Sanders of Bessemer, AL. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Cantrell.
Mickey’s family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Friday from 5-7pm. A service will be held on Saturday at 10:30am at the funeral home. The rev. Mark Porizky, Pastor of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Groton, will officiate. Burial with presentation of military honors will follow at Avery-Stoddard Cemetery, Ledyard.
