Mr. Vito Ciaramitaro, of Medford, formerly of Boston’s North End, died Friday at Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading. He was 77.
Vito was born and raised in the North End, the son of the late Giuseppe and the late Rosa (Aluia) Ciaramitaro. Vito was a commercial fisherman, sailing from Boston for most of his life. He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed the company of his family and friends.
He was the beloved husband of Rose (Benvenuto). He was a devoted father to Rose Ciaramitaro of Medford, Ann Fonzo and her husband Bruno of East Bridgewater, Susan Brennan of Hooksett, NH. He was a loving grandfather to Stephanie, Stephen, Melissa, and Brianna. He was a dear brother to Phyllis Wolfe of Fla.,Connie Dooner, the late Antoinette Volpicelli, Lucy Giampapa, Stephen and Joseph Ciaramitaro. Vito also leaves many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday, January 21st at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 – 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
