June (Newcomb) Chor, age 87, passed away at her daughter’s home in Hull on Monday January 18, 2010. She was the wife of the late John A. Chor Sr. June was survived by her 4 children, John Chor Jr. and his wife Dee Dee of Port Saint Lucie, FL, Candace Barrus and her husband Jon of Pembroke, Debra B. Canniff of Hull and Lorraine Bennett and her husband Robert of Plymouth, 1 brother Wallace Newcomb of Quincy, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Mrs. Chor was born and grew up in Weymouth and lived in Wareham for 20 years before moving in with her daughter 3 years ago. She worked part time at Ketchum Greenhouses in Weymouth and Hoffman’s in Hingham. June was a member of the Square Klicks square dance club in Weymouth. A Funeral Service will be held at the Weymouth United Methodist Church, 747 Broad St. (Jackson Sq.) E. Weymouth on Thursday January 21 at 11 A.M. Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Weymouth.
