Obituary

Helen Topalian Cutler, age 79, of Irving Street, Mystic, passed away Saturday at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Cutler was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 11, 1931 the daughter of Luther and Angel (Najarian) Topalian. On August 6, 1955 at the Methodist Church in Brooklyn, she was married to Cameron I. Cutler who died April 12, 2005.

She was employed as a secretary at SUPSHIPGroton before retiring. In her spare time, she was an avid reader with an interest in Egypt and the pyramids. She was also very proud of her Armenian Heritage, She thoroughly enjoyed living in New England and had a keen interest in the history of Mystic. She was also a talented artist.

Mrs. Cutler was a longtime active member of Union Baptist Church in Mystic and the Mystic Seaport.

She leaves behind her son, Brian C. Cutler and wife Sherry; grandchildren, Ryan, Amy, and Kyle Cutler all of Mystic, and most assuredly her feisty doxie Charlie. She is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Wittrup and husband Jim of Albany, NY; sister-in-law Delight Bellini and husband Bob of Dixson, IL; an uncle, Berge Najarian of FL; an aunt, Louise Najarian-Amiralian; nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at Union Baptist Church on Thursday at 11am with The Rev. Stacy E.F. Emerson will officiate. Burial will be private at Second Packer Family Cemetery, Mystic. There is no visitation.
