Charles O. Conner, 73 of Dartmouth died September 22, 2003 at home after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He was the husband of Hilda M. (Costa) Conner and son of Charles H. and Sue Conner of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and the late Opal Conner.
Mr. Conner was born and raised in Seminole, Oklahoma and had lived in Dartmouth since 1976.
He served in the US Navy for 22 years and later served as a Navy recruiter. He later was the proprietor of Plastics International for several years until his retirement.
Mr. Conner enjoyed fresh water fishing, hunting and his vegetable garden. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife; his father and step-mother; 3 sons, Charles W. Conner, and his wife Judy, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Brian K. Conner, and his wife Miriam, of New Bedford and Scott K. Conner, and his wife Darcy, of North Dartmouth; 3 daughters, Linda M. Silva, and her husband Joseph, of Bristol, RI, Hildy N. Costa of South Dartmouth and Charlene S. Fitts, and her husband James, of Rochester; 2 brothers, Donald Conner and Keith Conner, both of Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Jackie Sands of Oklahoma and Glenda Cummings of Kansas; 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
His Funeral will be private.
