Evelyn Romelle Marchant Crum, 88, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Royal Palm Retirement Home in Port Charlotte, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Richard Marchant, her nephew, will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Crum was born on February 7, 1921 in Climax and was the daughter of Reason Marchant and Emma Lou Paul Marchant, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Matthew Crum; five brothers; and three sisters. She was retired as an O.R. tech from Hialeah Hospital in Hialeah, Florida.
Mrs. Crum is survived by one son, Stanley Crum of Pembroke Pines, Florida; one daughter, Charlotte Carey of Punta Gorda, Florida; one brother, David Lee Marchant of Moultrie; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
