In Taunton, January 15, 2010, Raymond J. Pemberton, age 82 died in Longmeadow Nursing Home after a period of failing health. Raymond was the husband of Joyce (Clough) Pemberton of Taunton. He was born in Dighton to his late parents James & Louise (Wilson) Pemberton. Raymond served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired engineer for the Raytheon Co. in Waltham, MA. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, vacationing especially taking cruises and spending time with his grandchildren. Raymond also leaves his children John R. Pemberton and his wife Ann of Uxbridge and Susan Plumb and her husband Paul of Taunton. His grandchildren Jessica, Andrea and Paul Plumb, Stephanie and Raymond Pemberton. Also two great granddaughters and one great grandson. His siblings Doreen Lounsbury of North Dighton, Diane Wheeler of Raynham, Phyllis Kozak of Taunton, James and Charles Pemberton of Taunton and the late Vincent Pemberton. A graveside service will be held at Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton on Tuesday, Jan. 19th at 11am. Arrangements are under the supervision of the O’Keefe-wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
