Obituary

Irvin Benjamin Hall, 96, of Tifton died Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Elder Robert Skinner and Roger Summerlin will officiate with burial to follow in Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Brad McBay, Michael Fields, Robby Mullis, Chris Mullis, Stan Yawn and Phil Beach will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Shannon, Hugh Webb, Tommy Mullis, Bill Willis, John Hall and Michael McBrayer. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 15, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Mr. Hall was born on October 8, 1913 in Tift County and was the son of William Martin Hall and Linnie Jane Shell Hall, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Aultman Hall; seven brothers; and two sisters. He was a retired farmer and a member of Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Sycamore. He was an Elder in the Primitive Baptist Church.

Mr. Hall is survived by one son, Bruce Hall of Tyrone; one daughter, Sue Carter of Savannah; five grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
