Euna Mae Mixon Hogan Lewis, 96, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Irwin County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 4 P.M. Friday, January 15, 2010, at Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Mickey Harris, Elder Paul Thomas and Elder Elliotte Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Thursday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Lewis was born January 26, 1913 in Irwin County to the late Archie M. and Sadie Edenfield Mixon. She lived in Berrien County and Irwin County most of her life. Mrs. Lewis was a farmer’s wife and a former employee of Palemon Gaskins Nursing Home. She was a member of Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Betty Jo & Paul Hankins of Jacksonville, FL; sons and daughters-in-law: Billy Hogan, Dwight & Nell Hogan and Bobby Hogan, all of Alapaha and Marshall & Brenda Hogan of Denver, CO, daughter-in-law JoAn Hogan of Valdosta; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister: Rita McCullough of Jacksonville, FL as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, D.J. Hogan and Ralph Jackson Lewis, daughter, Josie Moore, a son, David Vinson Hogan and a grandson, Greg Moore.
