SOUTHERN PINES: Mr. Donald Edward Gehring, 83, of Southern Pines, died Monday, January 11, 2010 in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A private interment in the columbarium at McDonald Presbyterian Church in Foxfire Village will be held at a later date.
Don was born in Flint, Michigan and was an executive at the General Motors Corporation prior to his retirement. He relocated to Southern Pines with his wife, the former Anne Neil in 1993 and became active in McDonald Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Anne Gehring of the home; two sons, Gregory and Timothy Gehring; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
