Isabella A. Bryant, 77, of Old Harmony Road, Scituate, died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Barrington, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Isabella (Cicerchia) DelSanto. She had been a resident of Scituate for the past year and had previously lived in North Providence. She graduated from Barrington High School, Class of 1950 and went on to earn her B.S. in Accounting from Bryant College in 1955. She furthered her education earning an A.S. in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales in 1984.
She had worked as a pastry chef for the Pastry Gourmet before retiring. She was the RI State Representative for International Cake Exploration Societé. She raised her family in Riverside, where she was very active with the Girl Scouts, amongst other organizations. She taught many cake decorating classes.
She is survived by her children: Susan L. Caron of South Freeport, Maine, Stanley P. Bryant of East Providence and William J. Bryant, of Scituate, with whom she lived. Her grandchildren: Nicholas A., Melissa C., Dylan W. Bryant and Sophia Caron, and sister of Michael DelSanto of Crofton, MD. She was the sister of the late Caroline Coughlin, Antonetta and Louise DelSanto.
Her funeral service will be held Friday at 6pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation Friday 4-6pm.
