Obituary

Charlton,Everett F.Carr,87,of 88 Masonic Home Rd., passed away Thursday,January 7,2010 at the Overlook Masonic Heathcare Center.
He leaves his wife of 58 years,Roberta Muriel (Murdoch) Carr,children,Everett G. Carr of Ashland,MA.,Lauren P.Rodier of Aieia,Hawaii,and Joyce Butterworth of Penacook,N.H.a brother,Arthur Carr of South Caroline,a sister, Ruth Califour of Marblehead,MA.,grandchildren, Meredith R.Carr, Bridget C.Butterworth,Elizabeth J.Winer,Sara M.Burleson, and Aaron J.Murdoch.He also leaves greatgrandchildren,Marcus A. and Isaac A., and Ariel J. Burleson
He was predeceased by a son,Gregory S. Carr who died in 1952,a sister,Edith Minton,a brother, Warren Carr and a twin sister, Evelyn Rice.
Mr. Carr was born August 22,1922 in Danvers the son of Everett Clinton and Clara Amelia ( Thibadeau) Carr.
He was a WWII Army veteran and saw action in the European theater.
He was an estimator and planner in equipment development at GTE-Sylvania and retired in 1981
from there after 41 years of service.
He graduated from Danvers High School in 1940 and attended Sylvania Machinist School and
Princeton University.
Mr. Carr was a member of Amity-Mosaic Lodge of Freemasons,Danvers,MA.,VFW Post#2359 also in Danvers.
There are no calling hours.
Funeral Services will be Friday,January 15,2010 at 2 P.M.in The Overlook Masonic Chapel, 88 Masonic Home Rd.,Charlton,MA.
In lieu of flowers,memorial contributions may be made to; John Warren Lodge, 6 Main St.,Hopkinton,MA. 01748-1212,Donations received will benefit the Hopkinton Masonic Angels Fund This fund provides almost immediate and direct financial assitance to a child in need.
The Robert J.Miller-Charlton Funeral Home,175 Old Worcester Rd.,in Charlton is assisting the Carr family with arrangements.
