Stear, Roger C., 67, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010 at St's Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
He was a native of Smicksburg, PA., the son of Lawrence Stear & Ruth (McCormick) Stear Fulton.
He was currently a Bus Driver for JCPS and was a retired Truck Driver. He was a member of the Larchmont Church of God, where he served on the Board of Trustees and was a past Chairman. He was a member of Teamsters Local # 89 and was a U. S. Army Veteran. He was a former Scout Master for Troop # 358 and was a former Volunteer Fireman with Dixie Suburban Fire Dept.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and his Step-Father Frank Fulton.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Glenda (Edgin) Stear; 3 Sons: R. Jeffrey (Shari), Brian C. (Sherrye), Kevin R. (Terrie) Stear. 11 Grandchildren: Megan White (Billy), Justin Harmer, Chris Pearson, Mitchell Pearson, Chanelle Stear, Alex Zank, Annette Pearson, Jonathan, Chad, Anthony & Heather Stear. 2 Brothers; Alvin Stear & Barry Stear (Sue) and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday (1/13/2010) at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation: 2 - 9 PM Tuesday.
