Ist Sgt (Retired) Johnny L. Mills - 80, Clarksville, died Monday, January 11, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 5, 1929 in Buhl, Idaho, son of the late Frank Lewis Mills and Beulah Jackson Mills. He was a highly decorated U S Army Veteran. He served one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He was a charter member of V.F.W. Post 11160. Survivors include his wife of Fifty seven years, Mildred Morgan Mills, a son, Frank Mills and partner Tressa Knight, Clarksville; two daughters, Linda Shriver, Columbus, OH; and Crystal Snyder, Grand Rapids, MI; four grandchildren, Brian Spillman, Adrian Spillman, Ann Snyder, and Stephen Snyder and one great-grandson, Preston Spillman.
