George G. Murphy 79, formerly of Robert St. died Thursday at Mt St. Francis Health Care Center. He was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Edward G. and Cordelia (Michaud) Murphy. Mr. Murphy had been disabled for many years.
He is survived by a sister Pauline Murphy of Woonsocket, a brother John Murphy of Bangor ME, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Edward, Joseph, and Lucien Murphy, Theresa Bartholomy, and Claire Hutchins.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM form the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Tuesday 5-8 PM.
