Rita L. LoPresti 84, formerly of Woonsocket died Thursday at the Oakwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Webster, MA. She was the wife of the late Antonio "Nino" LoPresti. Mrs. LoPresti was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Edouard and Olympe (Forcier) Laperle. Mrs. LoPresti was an assembler for the former Miller Electric Co. for fifteen years. Along with her husband, she also was the previous co-owner of Nino's Pizza in Cranston. Mrs. LoPresti was a member of the Royal Travelers, and St. Joseph Sr. Citizens, she was an avid bowler and enjoyed line dancing and teaching ceramics.
She is survived by a son Ronald Brindamour of Harrisville, a daughter Suzanne Medina of TX , a sister Muriel V. Hathaway of Pascoag, six grandchildren, and her niece and caregiver Ann Bragg of Woodstock, CT. She was also the sister of the late Albert, Ludger "Joe", Urbain "Leo", Fernand, and Andre Laperle, Annette Hale, Blanche Proulx, and Learance Girard.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-7 PM.
