SORRENTINO, Peter L. of Wayland died in the comfort and care of his family at his home on January 6, 2010 following a courageous seven month battle with pancreatic cancer. Peter served as a dedicated employee of the U.S. Treasury Department for 43 years. He was the son of the late Peter T. Sorrentino and Anna Rose (Sera) Sorrentino. Peter is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 40 years Theresa F. (Hession) Sorrentino of Wayland. Beloved father of Peter L. Sorrentino, Jr. and his wife Rachel of New York, NY; Theresa F. Hajer and her husband Erik of Watertown; Annamarie Sorrentino of New York, NY and her partner Richard Brady of Hackensack, NJ; and Thomas A. Sorrentino of Cambridge and his fiancé Jill Kotowski of Beverly. Cherished grandfather of Luca K. Sorrentino, Quincy W. Sorrentino, Bianca T. Hajer and Francesca A. Hajer. Brother of Anna T. Gould of Newton and the late Maria Sorrentino. Peter is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitations will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm and Friday, January 15, 2010 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Route 30), Wayland. Family and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. Ann’s Church, 124 Cochituate Rd (Rte 27) Wayland. Interment will follow in North Cemetery in Wayland.
