Obituary

Ronald J. Morrison, 75 years, of North Easton died Friday January 8, 2010 at his home surrounded by the love of his family after a year-long battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Quincy, MA as a young teen with his parents Cecelia (Heet) and Alfred Morrison. He joins in Heaven his beloved wife Janet B. (Anderson) Morrison, his son Michael Morrison, his daughter Jill Morrison and Casey the dog. Ron was a proud Marine who served during the Korean Conflict. He was the proprietor of Ron’s Service Station in Needham and was a longtime mechanic at Colletta Brothers in Quincy. Most recently he was a devoted fifteen-year employee of Walmart in Raynham.

Ron was an avid football and baseball fan and enjoyed watching games with his Yellow Lab by his side. He was also a faithful supporter of the Mass Lottery.

Ron is survived by his sons John Morrison and his companion Sarah Dunphey of N. Easton and Mark Hamilton and his wife Rebekah of Plymouth. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Michelle Morrison and granddaughter Jessica Morrison both of Taunton He is survived by his sister Ruth Doyle of Quincy and brother Kenneth Morrison of Florida and is predeceased by his brother Alfred Morrison and sister Joan Morrison. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and grandchildren Keyona, Emily, Grace and Jacob.

Visitation in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday 3:30 to 6:30 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm. Burial at a later date in Pine HillCemetery.
