Maria Natalia (Sousa) Melo, 85, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Friday, January 8. She was the wife of the late Liberal F. Melo. Born and raised in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, she came to Stoughton in 1979. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Melo is survived by her children, Dalia Vieira and Espirito Santo both of Canada, Manuela Gomes, Natalia Santos and Nelson Melo all of Stoughton, Fatima of Brockton and Liberal Melo of New Bedford. She was the sister of Antonio Melo of the Azores. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, January 13 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
