Paul A Martin, 66, of Derry, died Thursday January 7th at his home surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Paul was born in Berlin, NH to Rita (Bouchard) Martin and the late Roger Martin.
He was the District 5 Highway Foreman, and retired in 1997 after 35 years of employment. Mr. Martin was a Charter and Honorary Lifetime Member of the Derry/Salem Elks club for the past 39 years. Paul enjoyed all sports, but his passion was golf. A huge sports fan, he was an avid follower of the Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins. Above all of his sporting activities he most enjoyed the time he spent with his family.
Mr. Martin leaves his devoted wife of 13 years, Sharon (Butterfield) Martin, his children, Paul A. Martin Jr. and his wife Robin of Danville, NH, Bruce R. Martin and his friend Jennifer of Nokomis, FL, Michele Champy and her husband Fred of Manchester, NH, Sophia Desautels and her husband Jeff of Windham of NH, his stepson, Raymond Levesque and his wife Anita of Ashburn, VA, his stepdaughters, Rebecca Krashan and her husband Jacob of Greenville, NH, Sabrina Levesque and her friend Shane of Manchester, NH and 8 cherished grandchildren. He also leaves his loving mother, Rita Martin of Manchester, NH, brothers, Roger Martin and his wife Lorraine Atkinson, NH, Roland Martin and his wife Jenna of Goffstown, NH, sisters, Joanne Boucher and husband Richard of Manchester, NH, Andrea Boulard and her husband Michael of Manchester, NH and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Donald Martin.
Calling hours were held at the Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium, 15 Birch St. Derry from 4-8pm on Monday, January 11th. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 11am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave, Derry.
