William A. Laventure 61, of 95 So.Spencer Rd., died Monday Jan. 4 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Fl., after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 41 years Elizabeth T. (Stevens) Laventure, three sons Jeffrey K. Laventure and his wife Michele of Fate, TX., Kenneth W. Laventure and his wife Stephanie of Cape Coral, Fl., and Jason K. Laventure of Spencer, his mother Dorothy P. (Shephardson) Laventure of Spencer, his brother Peter Cycz and his wife Annette of Spencer and his sister Suzanne Fritze and her husband Ronald of Spencer, six grandchildren Bella, Emily, Sarah, Kenneth W. , Jr., Seth and Evan T. Laventure, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Laventure was an insurance agent for 32 years and the owner of Laventure Insurance Agency in Spencer before retiring.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Edward K. Laventure. He graduated from David Prouty High School and later served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid hunter fisherman and sportsman. He wintered in Cape Coral, Fl.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, E.Brookfield with Military Honors.
