WEBSTER – Helena T. (Pietrowicz) Klisiewicz, 71, formerly of Granite Street, passed away Tuesday, January 5, in UMass/Memorial Healthcare, Worcester. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Robert T. Klisiewicz, in 2006.
She leaves three daughters, Roberta A. Klisiewicz of Merrimack, NH, Sandra A. Durand and her husband Michael of Woodstock, CT, and Patricia A. MacInnes and her husband Daniel of Worcester; three grandchildren, Adam Durand, Michael MacInnes and Katherine MacInnes; two brothers, Anthony Pietrowicz and his wife Marilyn of South Yarmouth and Steven Pietrowicz and his wife Patricia of Cresco, PA; nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Wilczynski) Pietrowicz. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1956. She moved to Webster at the time of her marriage in 1960.
Mrs. Klisiewicz was a shipper at Hallmark Optical in Webster for many years before retiring about 20 years ago.
She was a member of Saint Louis Church. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting and doing jigsaw puzzles. Above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
Her family would like to especially thank the staff at Christopher Heights, at South County Dialysis and at K’s Ambulance for their compassionate care. Because of their attention, her life was enhanced with social activity, in particular in her role as a volunteer at Christopher Heights.
The funeral will be held Saturday, January 9, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. Calling hours will be from 5:30 to 8:00 PM Friday, January 8, at the funeral home.
