Lillie May (Moultrie) Brown, a fifty year resident of Medford and beloved wife of the late Richard E. Brown, died at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford on Thursday morning, December 31, 2009. She was 74 years old.
Born in Greenville, South Carolina, Lillie was the beloved daughter of the late Heywood and Sennie (Cain) Moultrie. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Medford Congregation of Jehovah Witness’ in Lexington for many years. In her spare time she loved to read, sing and write poetry. Her singing was broadcast on the Disney Radio Chanel for Children.
She will be sorely missed by her loving son; Danny A. Brown of Revere one daughter; Wanda J. and her husband John Tinger of Methuen, one sister; Rosa Hall of Arizona and many dearly loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service was celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Saturday, January 9, 2010, at 1 PM. Many relatives and friends attended.
