Ronald A. Guzek, 52, of Attleboro passed away at home in the presence of his loving family on Monday January 4, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne M. (Gaudette) Guzek to whom he was wed on August 3, 1980.
Born in Springfield, MA on December 13, 1957 he was a dear son of the late Thaddeus and Genevieve (Michonski) Guzek.
Ron grew up in Springfield, was educated in Springfield schools and was a 1976 graduate of Classical High School in Springfield. He continued his education and was a 1981 graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston.
His passion in life was computers and for the past 7 years Mr. Guzek was employed at St. Mary’s Credit Union in Northboro where he served as a Senior Vice President, CIO. He had formerly worked for many years at the former Data General Co. in Westboro and also when the company became EMC.
An Attleboro resident for the past 27 years, Ron enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. He was also a car enthusiast and held a special place in his heart for animals. He and his family were parishioners of St. Mary’s Church in Norton.
In addition to his wife Jeanne he is survived by his loving daughter Kelly M. Guzek of Attleboro. He was the devoted brother of David T. Guzek and his wife Pauline of Jacksonville, Florida, his twin Donald B. Guzek and his wife Patricia of Stonington, Connecticut and the late Phillip T. Guzek. Also surviving are 1 niece and 1 nephew.
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday January 7th at 9:00 A.M. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 133 South Worcester St. Norton. Burial will follow in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday January 6th from 6-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
