Obituary

Londonderry- Sandra (Gallien) Currie died December 29, 2009 at the Derry Health and Rehab facility after a long period of declining health. She was born in Derry on June 19, 1940 to Albert and Agnes (Meehan) Gallien.

In her life: Sandy enjoyed her summers at Galliens Beach, ice skating, bowling and playing tennis. She loved to collect vintage toys found at yard sales. In her later years she enjoyed a good card game and bingo. She was a faithful fan of the Boston Red Sox and the N. E. Patriots.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Currie (2003) and her grandson Sgt. Michael Currie Roy (2009).

She is survived by her five sisters, Barbara Moynihan, Marlene Gallien, Teda Tingley, Tyke Floyd and Michelle Fernandez, brothers Albert and Richard and five children, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Our family is deeply saddened by the loss of our parents. We plan to gather in April, the month of Dick and Sandy’s wedding anniversary as they join each other once again. The graveside memorial service will be held 11:00am on Saturday, April 10, 2010 in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Derry. A reception will follow at 12:00pm (noon) for family and friends to share memories of their happy life together at the Pinkerton Tavern, 13 Manchester Rd., Derry, NH.
