Kathy Lott, 46, of Fitzgerald, died Monday, January 4, 2010 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 4 P.M. Wednesday, January 6, at Arbor Baptist Church with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge and Rev. Tommy Land, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8:30 Tuesday evening at Arbor Baptist Church.
Ms. Lott was born February 27, 1963 in Macon to S.D. and Gloria Keene Williamson. She lived in Fitzgerald most of her life, graduating from Fitzgerald High School in 1981. Ms. Lott graduated from ABAC and received her Master’s Degree in Education from Georgia Southwestern University. She was a teacher at Ben Hill County Primary School, where she taught first and second grades for twenty-five years. Ms. Lott was a member of Arbor Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Gleanors Sunday School Class, a member of the Women’s Ministry and was very active with the youth group until her son graduated from high school last year.
She is survived by a son: Clay Lott of Fitzgerald; parents: S.D. and Gloria Williamson of Fitzgerald; sisters and brothers-in-law: Karen & Ron Hewatt of Fitzgerald and Kimberly & Mark Butryn of Collierville, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law: Kenneth & Stephanie Williamson of Ocilla and Kevin & Pam Williamson of Fitzgerald; maternal grandmother: Mary “Mama Keene” Heard of Abbeville; Clay’s dad: Jeff Lott of Fitzgerald; Clay’s grandparents: Jean & Melvin Danford of Fitzgerald; Clay’s brother: Blake Lott of Fitzgerald as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by grandparents: Arnold Keene and Sam & Ola Williamson.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Arbor Baptist Church Building Fund, 1137 N. Merrimac Dr., Ext., Fitzgerald, GA 31750 or the Clay Lott Educational Fund at Colony Bank.
