Angela (Carbone) McConaghy, of Stoneham, formerly of Somerville, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital in North Conway. She was 84.
Angie was born and raised in Boston’s North End, the daughter of the late Federico and Generva Carbone. A Somerville resident for 50 years, Angela worked as a receptionist with Gillette Company until her retirement in 1999. Devoted to her family and a friend to many, Angie was active at St. Clement Parish and when she retired and moved to Stoneham she was a daily communicant at St. Patrick’s.
The beloved wife of the late Joseph McConaghy, Angela was a devoted mother to Fred McConaghy and his wife Peggy of Millbury, Rich McConaghy and his wife Theresa of Medford and Maureen McEachern and her husband Colin of Stoneham. She was a loving grandmother to Keith, Nicole, Kayla, Colin, Joseph and a dear sister to Vincent “Jim” Carbone of Stoneham and the late Felix “Phil” Carbone of Medford.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
