Brenda Cleghorn, 60, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, January 1, 2010, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Cargle officiating. Interment will follow in the Big Creek Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Ms. Cleghorn was born November 5, 1949 in Irwin County to the late Joseph Clyde & Jessie Howell Cleghorn. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1967 and attended the Atlanta Beauty School where she received her beautician’s training. She was the former owner/operator of Brenda’s Beauty Shop in Donalsonville. Ms. Cleghorn lived most of her life in the Fitzgerald community and was a member of Westside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two brothers and their wives: Larry & Rita Cleghorn and Allen & Lynn Cleghorn, all of Fitzgerald, as well as several nieces and nephews.
