Irene M. (Cutting) Connolly, age 83, of Plymouth, formally of Chelsea and Quincy. Wednesday, December 31, 2009. Beloved wife of the late William P. Connolly. Devoted mother of Stephen Connolly and his wife Sandy of Houston, TX., Bill Connolly and his fiancé Karen Raabe of Westford, Kris Holt and her husband Jim of Houston, TX., and Paul Connolly and his wife Susan of Plymouth. Cherished grandmother of Adam, Vance, Bill, Christopher, Erin, Thomas, William and Melissa. Sister of Eleanor Cutting of Quincy. A suma cum laude graduate of Tufts-Bouve College she worked as a Physical Therapist until her retirement from the Veterans Administration. Irene was compassionate, caring and loving and was blessed to have so many lifelong friends. A genuine caregiver she always put the needs of others before her own. Visiting hours Wednesday, January 6 from 4-8 pm at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd. (RT 3A) in Manomet. Funeral Mass at St. Bonaventure's Church, 799 State Rd., to follow on Thursday 10 am with internment at Pine Hills Cemetery, Quincy.
