Scott M. Herr age 18 of Canton passed away by accident January 1st in Buffalo, NY while visiting friends. Born in Boston, he was a lifelong resident of Canton. He was a member of Canton High School Class of 2009 where he played hockey, baseball and soccer and was a member of the National Honor Society. He was the first recipient of the Paul Matthews Senior Cup, an award created for Canton High School students who excel in scholarship, sportsmanship and service. Scott was a freshman at Northeastern University where he was on the Dean’s List and majoring in Civil Engineering. He was an avid wiffle ball player and was the the captain of the Northeastern University Wiffle ball Team. Beloved son of Linda M. (Forbes) & Joseph R. Herr. Brother of Joseph E. Herr of Canton. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Wednesday 2-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Thursday morning at 10:30. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Scott M.
