Edith M. (Barry) Bennett 80 of Medway died December 31 in Milford Regional Medical Center following a brief illness; she was the wife of the late Paul T. Bennett who died in 1990.
Born in Boston, November 23, 1929 the daughter of the late William and Gladys (Boyd) Barry, Mrs. Bennett was raised in Boston and had lived in Medway for the past 50 years.
Mrs. Bennett had worked in the cafeteria in the Medway Public Schools and had been a secretary at Comfort Air Systems and PAR Refrigeration Company.
Mrs. Bennett loved to play BINGO, do puzzles, go to the Medway Senior Center and collect lighthouses.
Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Stephen P. Bennett of Portsmouth, NH, and her daughters Susan M. Toland and her husband Edward of Medway and Nancy J. Schooler and her husband James of Ashland.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jessica Osborne and her fiancé Ronald Files, Adrienne Osborne, Paul and Thomas Schooler.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 2 in St. Joseph Church, Village Street in Medway at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00-10:45 a.m.
