Vincent B. Ciarmataro, 92, of Medford, formerly of the North End and Somerville, passed away Wednesday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, of Medford, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Clara (Gianetto).
Born and raised in Boston, he was the son of the late Philippa (Laffatta), and Guiseppe Ciarmataro. A U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, he retired as a foreman with the Revere Sugar Refinery and was a member of the Italian American Club of Malden.
He is survived by his wife Clara of Medford, his daughter-in-law Barbara Ciarmataro, his two loving grandaughters Melissa and Nicole Ciarmataro all of Quincy, formerly of Medford. A sister Stella Aiello of New Bedford, and Many loving Nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the Dello Russo funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford, on Monday, January 21, at 8 AM, followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St. Malden, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday, January 20, from 2-4 & 7-9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
