Obituary

Mary E. (McFaun) Kelley 102 died peacefully Wednesday December 30, 2009 at Milford Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late William J. Kelley who died in 1962.
Born in Somerville, May 15, 1907 a daughter of the late William and Mary (MacDonald) Faun she lived in S. Yarmouth for more than 40 years. She also resided in Lexington for many years, where she brought up her family, and had a satisfying career as a supervisor of the telephone switchboards at MIT's Lincoln Laboratory.
After her retirement, she moved to the Cape where she enjoyed the beaches and pursued many hobbies including knitting, needlework, rug braiding and upholstery. She relocated to Milford 4 months ago.
She was the last surviving member of the Estella Hatch Weston Women's Auxiliary of the Spanish American War Veterans, and was a past president and life member of the Watertown Emblem Club.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Mary "Billie" Gallant of Upton, DKelley Yancey of S. Yarmouth, a son William J. Kelley of Raeford, NC, and 2 granddaughters: Linda Gallant and Michele Lutz.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service Saturday January 2, 2010 at 11 AM at the family lot in Westview Cemetery, Bedford Rd. Lexington.
Interment will follow.
