Catherine “Midge” (Coburn) Harvey, age 79 of Salem, NH, formerly of Reading, MA, died peacefully Monday at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Boston, MA, grew up and was educated in Salem, NH, where she graduated from Woodbury High School in 1949.
Midge was a retired nurse of 22 years at Malden Hospital. Her retirement pleasures were her family, gardening, volunteering at Lawrence General Hospital & Salem Senior Center, and traveling.
She was a devoted wife of 57 years to Albert S. Harvey. Proud and loving mother of their 5 daughters; Dr. Karen Harvey-Wilkes & her husband Rev. Dr. Joseph of Melrose, MA. Kim S. Harvey of Salem, NH, Linda Houck & her late husband Anthony of Baldwinville, MA, Laura Kulch & her husband Charles of Hudson, NH, & Suzanne J. Harvey of Revere, MA.
She was a loving grandmother to 7 grandchildren: Scott, Heather, Michelle, Caroline, David, Micaela, & Matthew.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Dec. 30 from 4-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 31 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
