Irene Brearley, 82, of Wren Court, Derry, NH, died Sunday October 7, 2001 at Hanover Hill Healthcare in Manchester. She was born in London, England on August 12, 1919, a daughter of the late James and Katherine (Marrison) Farey. She was a resident of Derry since 1949, formerly living in London, England. She was employed as a shoeworker for Klev-Bro Shoe in Derry. She enjoyed playing the piano and accordion, as well as writing poetry. Irene had a lifelong love of gardening and animals She was predeceased by her husband Howard Brearley in 1972.
She is survived by one son, Barry Brearley, of Deerfield, NH, one daughter, Brenda Brearley, of Ashland, NH, two grandchildren, Erin Brearley and Dana Brearley, both of Deerfield, NH, many nieces, nephews, and cousins in England.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Londonderry on Sunday, October 14 at 4:30 PM. Refreshments to follow.
