Framingham: William N. “BILL” Profit, 68, died on Monday, December 28, 2009 at his residence following a brief period of declining health.
He was born in Natick on October 15, 1941 the son of the late Gurney R. and Addie (LaDuke) Profit.
Mr. Profit is survived by his wife of 40 years, Charlene A. (York) Profit of Framingham. He was the father of Brenda M. Probst of Ashland, Patrick J. Profit and Robert A. Profit both of Framingham, Barbara J. Herpin of Leominster and William P. Profit of Georgia and the late Katherine A. Rivera who died in 1999. Bill was the brother of Retired Wayland Fire Chief Ronald E. Profit of Wayland and the late Barbara A. Lynch, Frederick C. Profit and Gurney R. Profit. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Bill has been a resident of Framingham for the past 40 years. He was educated in the Wayland Schools and was a graduate of Wayland High School and spent his formative years in Cochituate.
Bill retired after a long and dedicated 30 year career as the Supervisor of Custodial Services for the Town of Framingham School Department. He loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends in Maine. One of his greatest pleasures was golf carting with his grandchildren in Maine. He will be missed by all of the lives he touched.
Visitations will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2009 from 10:00 to 10:45 am followed by his funeral service at 11:00 am in the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Route 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
Private family interment will be held at the Profit family lot in Lakeview Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial gifts in his memory may be sent to Greyhound Friends, Inc., 167 Saddle Hill Road, Hopkinton, MA 01748.
