Laconia-----Betty L. Higgins, 57, of 27 Baldwin Street died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Sunday, December 27, 2009.
Betty was born February 22, 1952 in Laconia, the daughter of Leander W. and Mearl (Peavey) Fleck. She was a lifetime resident of Laconia and was employed at the Naswa. Betty loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed watching soap operas.
Betty is survived by her husband, Ralph C. Higgins, of Laconia; two sons, John M. Stebbins and Chad A. Greenwood, and a daughter, Tara L. Greenwood, all of Laconia; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Dennis Fleck and Charles Fleck both of Laconia and Harry Fleck of Franklin; two sisters, Anna Fleck of Lakeport and Waunita Gould of Franklin and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her first husband, John L. Stebbins, in 1977, by a brother, Leander Fleck, and by a niece, Rosemarie Fleck.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 from 6:00-8:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
